Axel Zeebroek has finished eighth in today’s half Ironman Panama. His final time: 3:51:24. Javier Gomez (Spain; 3:38:28) won the race. Second and third place went to Matt Chrabot (USA; 3:42:12) and Bertrand Billard (France; 3:43:24) respectively.

Will Clarke 2nd, Romain Guillaume 3rd in Ironman 70.3 South Africa

Will Clarke (GB) and Romain Guillaume (FR) have made it a very successful first race for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team, taking 2nd and 3rd place respectively in today’s Ironman 70.3 South Africa. Will finished just 23 seconds (04:05:24) behind winner and local favorite James Cunnama (South Africa; 04:05:01). Romain, in the lead for most of the race, completed the podium with a final time of 04:06:24.

Follow it live: Ironman 70.3 South Africa

On Sunday, January 26th, Will Clarke and Romain Guillaume will officially kick off the 2014 season and very first race of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team as they compete in the Ironman 70.3 South Africa. Bart Aernouts was supposed to defend his title and even traveled to South Africa but he had to withdraw from the race due to illness.
